Children in San Pablo Ranch were taught by one teacher in a one-room school house provided by my father. The young boy in front of the group is me. All but two of the students were related to me.

I was a sophomore at Laredo Junior College (now Laredo College) when this photo was taken. I was president of student government and co-editor of the college newspaper, The Round-Up. I was also vice president of the LJC chapter of Phi Theta Kappa.
